Charlton Pre-school is run by a Management Committee consisting of volunteer parents. The Committee is a legal requirement and therefore an important and essential part of the life of the Pre-school and is made up of parents who wish to contribute to the running of the Playgroup.
The Committee is currently made up of:
Alexa Anderson- Chairperson
Committee members are voted into position by parents of the Pre-school at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in September each year. The Pre-school adopts the constitution of the Pre-School Learning Alliance 2011.
Management of the Pre-school
Staff retention, staff recruitment, budgeting, health & safety, training budgets, maintenance of facilities, setting pay scales, paying wages.
Income from fundraising forms an essential part of the Pre-school as we receive very little public funding and therefore rely heavily on fundraising to provide the toys and equipment necessary to give the children the high standard of education that the pre-school demands. Charlton Pre-school is a registered charity.
Would you like to help?
Volunteers are regularly needed to join the Committee as members naturally move on as their children leave Pre-school.
If you are interested in becoming a Committee Member or finding out more about what is involved, please contact any member of staff or contact the committee by email. We look forward to hearing from you.
